Noh and Sake

This is a meeting to listen to a story about Noh, a classical art form that Japan is proud of, while tasting Japanese sake.

Mr. Akimasa Fujii

Born in Tokyo in 1990.
He is a Noh performer of the Shitekata Takara school. Joined the school in 1994. He made his first appearance on stage in 1995 with “Kurama Tengu” Hanami. Since 2022, he has been teaching chanting to students at Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa.

Sake served.

Yuamisawa” (Kobayashi Shuzo / Kuriyama, Hokkaido)
This junmai sake is made from Iwamizawa-grown “Comet” sake, which has a sweet and smooth taste.

Shojo” (Kitamura Shuzo, Yoshino, Nara Prefecture)
Kitamura Shuzo’s representative brand “Shojo” is named after the Noh play “Shojo”.
