The “Iwamizawa Hyakumochi Festival,” celebrating its 42nd anniversary this year, is Iwamizawa's largest festival related to glutinous rice, a specialty of Iwamizawa City! The rice cake pounding using one of the world's largest mortars, with a diameter of 2.2 meters and a weight of 5.5 tons, is a very powerful event!
